The increasing awareness of the importance of Mental Health, and the potentially large impact of poor mental health on individuals, colleagues and their employers, has led to high demand for quality training programmes.

Mental Health covers a wide range of both short term and longer term challenges which team members might encounter at work (or out of work) amongst their co-workers or clients, their visitors and customers. These might relate to anxiety & depression, chronic illness, and in extreme cases, suicidal tendencies. Unlike physical First Aid where symptoms may be more obvious, poor mental health can be harder to identify, and the responses often need to be more nuanced.

Our courses will involve plenty of participation by the Group, who will be encouraged to speak about their experiences (if they wish to), and consider their own attitudes to mental health awareness. There will be plenty of practical guidance to relate the training to the Real World application of Mental Health First Aid, including the use of language and asking questions, listening skills and the encouragement of positive steps which the individual might take to receive further support. Our training is delivered by appropriately qualified members of our team, who treat the subject with the care and respect that it deserves.

Anyone can be affected by a mental health condition either themselves or a family member, friend or colleague. A range of subjects are covered including:
